PONTE VECCHIO - THE OLD BRIDGE
Ponte vecchio was probably built in about 50BC, remaining the only link between the two banks of the Arno until 1220. The shops were occupied by greengrocers, butchers and similar until 1495, when the florentine government ordered that the goldsmiths take their place. Our hotel is located in one of the corners of Duomo square, few minutes walks from the Bridge.
